Only Girl - Heights

South London-based singer/songwriter Ellen Murphy, aka Only Girl has today released her latest soulful pop masterpiece entitled "Heights", the follow-up to her previous single, "Fortune", which was released earlier this year and earned a personal request from Demot O’Leary to perform the song on ITV’s The Nightly Show to millions of viewers as well as a top slot in Spotify’s New Music Friday UK playlist. Set over sparse drum kicks and snares, the airy summer-ready track celebrates the euphoria and strength we get from those that lift us.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, Only Girl explains:

"This song started life in my studio as just two chords on the piano, looping round and round. I wanted to create a really dream-like, hazy vibe to the track to convey that feeling of being with someone who lifts you up and gives you that sense of elation and strength; those support figures in our life who we reach out for when we feel broken."

Listen to "Heights" along with the acoustic version of the song below.

"Heights" is available now on iTunes.
