Dylan Emmet - Always Been You

If you've been following our blog for a while you might have noticed that we hardly ever feature male musicians but today that all changes as we are making an exception for New York-based singer/songwriter and producer Dylan Emmet, who recently produced tracks for the likes of Chandler Juliet and LeyeT. Now following the release of his previous singles, "Too Far Gone" and "Shapeshifter", Dylan Emmet returns with his latest offering entitled "Always Been You", a heartfelt and emotive indie-pop ballad that we immediately fell in love with upon first listen, and we are quite sure you will too.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, Dylan explains:

"I wrote the song about falling for someone and not knowing if you should tell them. Whether it's a close friend, co-worker, or a long distance thing, it sucks to be in love with someone that you are not 'supposed' to have feelings for. All you think about is telling them how you really feel, but you know that you risk losing them completely if they don't feel the same way. This song is really a snapshot of my mindframe as I realized how deep my feelings went for this girl... I still haven't told her…"
