Girl Wilde - Nervous Breakdown

Los Angeles-based alt-pop songstress Alex Barnes, aka Girl Wilde has today dropped the visuals for her latest single, "Nervous Breakdown." In the video, directed by Noel Maitland and fellow LA-based singer Kelsy Karter (who just recently released a new single of her own called "Catch Me If You Can" which we definitely recommend checking out), Girl Wilde sets the scene at a house party. As we watch the night unfold before us, we see Girl Wilde make her "bad decisions." The music video is equal parts fun and vulnerable, an honest glimpse into the life of Girl Wilde.

Speaking on the video, Girl Wilde says:

"With this video I really wanted to focus on friendship instead of a love interest. It was inspired by the many times my friends have held my hand through all sorts of ups and downs. Pretty much everyone in the video was a close friend. Having my co-writer Mia in the video was also a really special moment."

Having previously contributed her songwriting talents for others as well as her past musical project, Girl Wilde is no novice to the music world. The Girl Wilde project was born from a desire to be unrestricted by genre, expectations, and trends. Blending influences of rock, pop, and electronic, Girl Wilde is carving out a fresh and distinctive sound that is uniquely and truly her own. And with two singles already under her belt, Girl Wilde rapidly setting herself up as a rising artist to watch in 2019.
