New York-based indie-pop singer/songwriter and producer Dylan Emmet is back today with his new single called "Home", which also serves as the final single from his new EP
Midas, also released today.
Once again teaming up with Canadian songstress
Constance, who also co-wrote the track, "Home" is a hypnotic and soulful pop ballad centered around lush synthesizers and airy guitars that float through a bed of wavy electronic inflections. The five-song EP also includes standout tracks like "
Always Been You" and "
No Chill", the latter which reached the top 10 on Hype Machine's Popular Chart.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, Dylan says:
"
'Home' is about unconditional love. I believe a big part of finding the right person is about knowing who you can fully be yourself with. Constance and I wanted this song to embody the feeling that we both hope to find one day. Where you just know, no matter what happens, you’ll never have to face it alone ever again."
