Hailing from the Scottish Highlands, 22-year-old artist and producer Aylee has today unveiled her latest electro-pop gem called "Real", which also serves as the second single and title track from her forthcoming debut EP, due out later this year. Revealing a much more venerable side to Aylee's songwriting, "Real" provides a pleading chorus paired with honest lyrics: "
The pain's the only thing that's real, try to find the beauty in the falling." Written about not knowing where you stand with someone, "Real" is the perfect follow up to Aylee’s debut track track "
Bad Habit" but this time offering a different perspective on a relationship.
Speaking on the track, Aylee says:
"
I wrote 'Real' about a year ago, it's about not knowing where you stand with someone and how not knowing can be really damaging. It's about how someone can make you feel so good but bad at the same time. I think the uncertainty of a relationship is just one of those things everyone will go through at some point."
