Kelsy Karter - Out Of Drugs

Originally hailing from Australia's Gold Coast but now based in Los Angeles, blue-eyed soul singer/songwriter Kelsy Karter, who listens to Sam Cooke and carries a switchblade, has just released her brand new single, "Out Of Drugs", along with the single's accompanying music video, directed by Noel Maitland (Alexx Mack, Eden XO). Kelsey has spent the past 10 months working on her upcoming yet-to-be-titled debut album, which was inspired by her real life experiences of heartbreak that she’s experienced throughout her life... from having her own heart broken to breaking hearts herself.

Speaking on the track, Kelsey says:

"This song ('Out of Drugs') is a metaphor for being in love. Love is the best drug ever, and it's about that journey. I talk about drugs the entire time, but it's a metaphor for being high on love. It's about what we all go through. Love's the fucking best, and that's what drugs are like - when you come down from drugs, it's the worst thing in the world."

"Out Of Drugs" is available now on iTunes.
