Earlier this month, Cleveland, Ohio-based R&B songstress Alina Baraz shared her new song, "Drift" which has already gained the attention of quite a few other music blogs. However with the amount of attention she has received (so far) and a growing fanbase, Alina Baraz still somehow manages to remain a mystery to most. Now I don't know much about Miss Baraz either, other than the consensus that she has a lovely singing voice but from what information I was able to collect, this is Alina's latest rendition a of a track that was originally titled "To the Moon and Beyond" which was produced by Danish electronic producer Matias Saabye Køedt aka Galimatias (who currently resides in Berlin) and was released last year as part of his 4 song Luna Soul EP. Needless to say, this doesn't change the fact that "Drift" is a beautiful new collaboration between an up-and-coming singer/songwriter and a talented producer.
