VÉRITÉ - Strange Enough

We first heard of semi-mysterious New York City-based singer/songwriter VÉRITÉ (real name unknown) earlier this year after she unveiled her impressive debut track, "Heartbeat" - a quite intriguing first offering which sadly seems to have disappeared from the internet. However, lucky for us, VÉRITÉ returns today with yet another pop gem in the form of "Strange Enough", produced by Ingrid Michaelson's live and studio drummer Elliot Jacobson.

In regards to the single, VÉRITÉ explains, "'Strange Enough' is a contemplation of all the questions I'd ask myself about my relationship, and why we bother ourselves to try to make things work sometimes. The song goes back and forth between the nostalgia of what was, the reality of how things shift as time moves on, and how ultimately we romanticize moments that are fleeting. I’m excited and simultaneously terrified to have people hear it. It's a song that wrote itself."

While more information on VÉRITÉ remains to be scarce, I guess all we can do for now is sit back and listen to the beautiful music she's created, while we enjoy witnessing the evolution of a pop star in the making.
