British singer/songwriter Annabel Jones (who is also the daughter of the late, great Davy Jones of The Monkees) has just unveiled her new single called "IOU", which debuted earlier today on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show. "IOU" follows last year's release of her previous single "Magnetic", which spawned several remixes, most notably one by AOBeats that shot straight to #1 on Hype Machine and to date has garnered over three million plays on SoundCloud and YouTube. The song also caught the attention of American electronic artist and DJ Jimmy Tamborello (The Postal Service / Dntel), who, along with Andrew Goldstein (Robert DeLong, Krewella, and Andrew McMahon) co-produced Jones's forthcoming Libelle EP, due out later this year on Atlantic Records/Cooked Paintings.
"It feels like many pop stars have forgotten they carry responsibility," Jones says. "I don’t want to make some-one feel empty. I want them to feel full of meaning."
