YAYA - Bad Girls

Introducing YAYA, otherwise known as the solo project of Stockholm-based artist Caroline Ljungström, who has just unveiled her debut single along with an accompanying music video for "Bad Girls", which she wrote, produced and recorded entirely by herself.

After years of trying to collababorate with different songwriters and producers she decided to set out on her own instead. Soon she received a generous offer to work in a corner of Gottefar, her friends Magnus Lidehäll, Salem Al Fakir and Vincent Pontares studio, where a whole new world of sounds and possibilities opened for her. Rooted in classical ballet, YAYA has since developed her creative expression and is now a DJ, songwriter and producer.

Insprired by the likes of Annie Lennox and Joan Jett with references to Charlie XCX, Robyn and Katy Perry, YAYA has created a pop world where nothing is impossible, but with full awareness of the need for blood, sweat and many tears to get there.
