HOST - State Of Your Soul

Berlin via London DJ/production duo HOST have today unveiled their second single called "State Of Your Soul". a driving whirlwind of intricate synth work and infectious dark pop. Produced by the band themselves and mixed by Steve Dub (of The Chemical Brothers), "State Of Your Soul" along with their debut single, "All Night Every Night" will be released together as a limited edition AA-side and will be available both digitally and on limited edition 12" black vinyl (a nod to their 70s/80s influences) on April 8th via B3SCI Records.

Comprised of Ben Leverock and Tommy, the duo first met in East London via a mutual friend who brought them together over their love of New Order, Talking Heads and house producers like Marshal Jefferson and Phuture. Ben has subsequently relocated to Berlin where the band now have a studio setup to write and record for both HOST and other projects taking further inspiration from the local electronic music scene.

Speaking on the track, HOST says:

"'State Of Your Soul' is that existential feeling late in the night when you start to question your existence during a break from the dance floor... or the moment when you awake and realise The Haçienda is now just a block of flats."

Listen to both "State Of Your Soul" and "All Night Every Night" below.

"All Night Every Night / State of Your Soul" is available for pre-order on vinyl and on iTunes.

Premiere via Complex.
