Lola Coca - GQ

Former model turned singer/songwriter Lola Coca is no doubt a lyrically poignant popstress who indeed has a way with words. Simultaneously both playful, frank and nonchalant, her smooth vocal tone spans between the goal posts of disinterest and a swan provoked. Influenced by '90s hip-hop and her dad's ska collection, her background blending genre is somewhat reminiscent of The Streets, Gorillaz and Basement Jaxx, only this time presented as a stand alone "one-(wo)man-band". Now following the massive success of her debut single, "Bad Girlfriend", released this past December, the rising London-based artist returns with her new single, "GQ", produced by Stefan Skarbek (Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse & Eliza Doolittle) and mixed by legendary engineer Tony Maserati (Beyonce, Notorious B.I.G.)

Listen to "GQ" below.
