Introducing 20-year-old singer/songwriter and producer Cara Onofrio, aka Happy Sometimes, a Laguna Beach local who spent her days on the sand and nights producing beats in her bedroom. In 2015, Cara swapped the sea for the valley and relocated to Los Angeles to write and record her own songs. There in the back lots of Burbank and Studio City she joined a new wave of young writers, artists and producers who have re-ignited LA's music scene.
Happy Sometimes is hauntingly uplifting, her vocals capture fragile fractured emotions like a fading photograph. Her songs grasp at the spirit of a pure and honest youth with a lifetime of stories yet to tell. Her soundscape is epic electro with killer vocals and dope production.
Listen to her dark and cinematic take on Franz Ferdinand's 2004 hit single "Take Me Out" (co-produced by Tony Rodini) below and stay tuned for a lot more new music from Happy Sometimes as she is currently preparing for the release of her forthcoming 5-song debut EP, Videotapes, which is due out in July.
