CAPPA - Wannabe (Spice Girls Cover)

Nashville-based indie pop artist Carla Cappa, aka CAPPA is no stranger to taking a 90's classic and recreating it into something uniquely her own. Her cover of TLC's "No Scrubs" was no doubt a viral success and to date has already amassed well-over 5 million plays on Spotify alone. Today, CAPPA looks to do it all again by unveiling her electrifying and rather sultry take on Spice Girls' #1 global mega hit "Wannabe", which once again sees her collaborating with longtime producer Jon Santana

Speaking on the track, CAPPA says:

"'Wannabe' was one of my favorite songs as soon as it came out. I feel like it was really edgy and pushed the envelope for what was being done at the time yet still is so relevant today. It's all girl power and standing up for yourself and I love that. I wanted to try out my own rendition using some of the current production styles in pop music that I am such a big fan of."

Listen to "Wannabe" below.

In related news, CAPPA has recently announced that she will be supporting fellow Nashville artist Matt Wertz on his upcoming North American tour kicking off on September 9th.
