Rising London-based singer/songwriter Semma has just unveiled her new single entitled "Nude", which also serves as her first piece of original music since her double A-side single, "Cut The Rope" / "Fantasy" was released last year. Produced by Los Angles-based hitmaker King Henry, who she previously collaborated with on his viral hit "Gold Dust" and whose credits also include Beyoncé, Diplo, The Weeknd and Justin Bieber, "Nude" further showcases Semma's incredible powerhouse vocals and merges it with throbbing synths and driving electronic production. In addition, Semma has also unveiled the single's accompany music video, directed by Kate Moross and inspired by Tony Viramontes's illustration on Janet Jackson's album, Control and Jean Paul Goude's work with Farida.
Speaking on the track, Semma says:
"'Nude' is about showing parts of yourself to someone, even if you don’t want to. It’s not so much about being physically nude, but more emotionally - being a little vulnerable and sexy with someone."
Listen to "Nude" below.
"Nude" will be released on October 28th.
Premiere via The Line of Best Fit.
