Brooklyn-based alt-pop songstress Kelsey Byrne, aka VÉRITÉ has today unveiled her first-ever music video for her latest single, "Phase Me Out", which has so far amassed over 1.6 million streams and counting on Spotify since its release back in mid-January. The hazy visuals, directed by Charlie Manton, perfectly echoes the song’s propulsive melody that VÉRITÉ aimed to capture in the tension between the surrealism of mundane routines and the destructive ecstasy of the unfamiliar.
Speaking on the video, VÉRITÉ explains:
"This is a video I've been wanting to make for a while. For me, the song isn't specifically about being 'phased out.' but more about being caught in my mind, how I draw these invisible lines between myself and the world, and the practical fallout. I'm just interested in making things that are honest and representative of my reality.."
