In honor of International Women's Day, Swedish audiovisual duo FELIN, comprised of songwriter/artist Elin Blom and photographer/director Fredrik Etoall (the "F" in FELIN) have today unveiled their new single called "Shackles", a poignant pop ballad which sees the duo expressing their frustration about what's happening to women today.
Speaking on the track, FELIN says:
"By now we've all heard the politician claiming women should 'earn less because they're smaller, weaker and less intelligent'. When on the other side of the globe a bunch of men decide over women's reproductive rights! NOW is the time for women as well as men to come together! To show that we are STRONGER, BIGGER and SMARTER. Feminism isn’t about telling other women how they should act or be. There’s not only one type of feminist. Feminism is about being able to make your own choices, about equality and to be free to be who you are, so let's ALL be feminist together!"
