Leena Regan - Y-O-U

In preparation for the upcoming midterm election that's taking place on November 6th (DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!), emerging Los Angeles-based alt-pop artist Leena Regan has today released her politically charged pop anthem called "Y-O-U", the follow-up to her previous singles "As I Am" and "Standby".

On "Y-O-U", Leena Regan harnesses the sense of empowerment into a battle cry to stand up for what's right and not let anyone get away with the idea that an individual doesn't have the power to create change. "Y-O-U" was conceived on Inauguration Day by Leena and her friend/collaborator (and another longtime favorite of ours) Linney, who together with producer Max Hurrell carefully crafted a soundscape that transports the mind back to high school days of marching bands and fight songs, shining light on the young lives lost each year in school shootings and the young survivors of Parkland who have sent shockwaves through the historically adult political scene with their activism and fervor.

Listen to "Y-O-U" below.

"Y-O-U" is available now on iTunes.
