Melbourne-via-Fremantle singer/songwriter and producer Kathryn Rollins has recently released her sassy and seductive new single "Cut & Paste It", produced by Steven Schram (San Cisco, Little Birdy) and mastered by Emily Lazar (HAIM, Vampire Weekend).
The new single sees Kathryn Rollins taking a new direction, far from the finger-picking acoustic feel of her critically acclaimed debut EP, Reckless (recorded with Eskimo Joe's Kav Temperley and released in April 2013). Over the past 12 months Kathryn's musical palette has continued to evolve, with her latest musical step being hailed as progressive, diverse, fresh and new. "I wanted to be empowered, to present something really confident and celebrate growth and excitement," says Rollins. "Cut & Paste It" is the sound of an artist moving forward. With street smart beats and infectious energy, Kathryn Rollins' latest offering shows a writer with a future that has the type of potency you just can't ignore.
"Cut & Paste It" serves as the first single taken from Kathryn Rollins' upcoming second EP. Release date TBA.
