After having just supported Charli XCX on her recent North American tour, in addition to be labelled as "fashion's favorite new pop star" by Vogue Magazine, London-based singer/songwriter and producer Laura Bettinson, aka FEMME has just unveiled the music video for her new single, "S.O.S", directed by Andrew Morgan (Repeat Repeat Productions). The video features the pink-haired siren and her Bullet Girls running amok with some smoking flares while also showing off some rather impeccable cute girl group dance moves.
In regards to the video, FEMME tells Dazed, who premiered the video yesterday: "I wanted to shoot a video with an overarching sense of strength and power. I was channelling my inner 80s tomboy, and in fact, the jeans I'm wearing used to be my Dad's."
As with all of her tracks, "S.O.S" was written, recorded and produced by FEMME herself, with additional mixing by recent Grammy award winner Wez Clarke (Clean Bandit, Sam Smith). The single will be released on May 4th via Trevor Horn's legendary electronic label ZTT Records, home to the likes of Art Of Noise, Frankie Goes To Hollywood & Grace Jones.
