London-based singer/songwriter Desta French, who made quite an impression on us along with many
other like-minded music blogs back in May with the release alluring debut single, "
Take You For Dead", makes a welcome returns today with her equally (if not more) impressive second offering called "Like No Other". The track pays homage to classic R&B while utilizing forward thinking production, showcasing an understated sensuality within French's alluring vocals. Floating over a beautiful arrangement, including a Spanish guitar solo, "Like No Other", again sees Desta French stand out for a combination of intricate songwriting, winning vocals and personal subject matter.
Speaking on the track, Desta French says:
