Violet Sands - Coming Back

Having first come to our attention back in January with their two previously released tracks, "No Matter What" and "Lift Me Up", all-star Brooklyn-based three-piece Violet Sands, comprised of Deidre Muro (of Deidre & the Dark), David Perlick-Molinari (of French Horn Rebellion), and Derek Muro (of Love Like Deloreans and Mighty Five) make a very welcome return today with their dreamy new single called "Coming Back", which is lifted from their forthcoming debut EP Strange Attractor, due out on May 6th via Ensemble Records.

Speaking on the track, Deidre Muro explains:

"The song is a journey of reconnecting with inner truth or the inner child, to acknowledge that you have been negligent of some part of yourself, and that you’re open to returning to the child-like state of the whole. I always had an image of a woman who is waking up from a numb or painful reality, and returns to the house she grew up in, which is abandoned and decaying and overgrown with plants, and she goes in and finds a six year old version of herself in her old bedroom, and that’s who she is singing to as she takes her by the hand out of the house and past human representations of all the distractions and pain in the world and they walk down the street together, looking beyond it all."
