WASI - Mama's Gonna Get You

Following on from last year's release of their debut EP, Bleed Pop, which garnered the support of notable tastemakers such as Billboard, Hello Giggles and PRIDE, just to name a few, Los Angeles-based riot-pop duo WASI (We Are/She Is), comprised of Merilou Salazar and Jessie Meeha return with their brand new single called "Mama's Gonna Get You".

Blending elements of Closer-era Tegan and Sara with the anthemic vibe of The Clash to create a reminiscent soundtrack to those So Cal nights of skinny dipping and antsy-garage punk rock, WASI have since performed at select dates on the Vans Warped Tour, shared the stage with artists such as Shiny Toy Guns, Moving Units, and K. Flay and continue to perform at sold out feminist and LGBTQ events throughout LA including Women Fuck Shit Up Fest (headlined by Colleen Green and Allison Weiss). Their songs and grassroot DIY work ethic speak from a youth vying to be understood in their own tender time.
