Having amassed over 30 million listeners with his original productions and high profile remixes for artists such as John Newman, Rudimental and Lana del Ray, Lithuanian-born, London-based producer Embody released his new single "Dreamin'" (featuring Camden Cox) earlier this month on Black Butter Records. However, today Embody has released the a full four-track EP for the single which includes the original, a remix by JackLNDN, a cover of Baby D's "Let Me Be Your Fantasy" plus a stunning acoustic live version of the single which takes the existing track in a really fresh direction.
The original is a suitably tropically infused affair, the quality and production value of "Dreamin'" is clear from the outset, as an impossibly catchy guitar riff enthralls the listener. Steady percussion builds the tracks energy with steel drums instilling the mood with tropical summer sensibility. As Camden Coxs crisp yet glossy and layered pop vocals pierce through the composition, one is immediately drawn to the astute combination of melancholic harmonics and upbeat tropical soul driven by the steady beat of the kick drum.
