Denmark-born, London-based singer/songwriter and producer Alex Vargas is gearing up to release his much-anticipated debut album early next year via
Copenhagen Records. In the build-up to this album's release, the young crooner has shared his soulful new single called "Higher Love", along with it's accompanying lyric video. "Higher Love" displays all the vocal peaks that
DIY Magazine hailed as "spine-tingling" and bare the skeletal guitar chords that won over much of the
blogosphere with his previous single "
Shackled Up", one of the many standout tracks off his
Giving Up the Ghost EP, released earlier this year.
Speaking on the track, Alex says:
"
'Higher Love' is about those moments where turmoil created by routines and predictability in everyday life. It plants seeds of insecurity in the ground beneath, but that thought of giving up quickly evaporates when you remember how closely you are bound."
