Jessie Early - Heart

Introducing Nashville-based indie-pop artist Jessie Early, who has today shared her impressive debut single called "Heart". which also serves as the first taste of her upcoming debut EP, Wild Honey, due for release on March 31st.

According to Jessie, "Heart," was the last song to make the cut. "It was the one song I tried to scrap. I decided to put the song on the EP knowing that it had a lot of potential, but it really just turned into the problem child throughout the entire recording process. It was either too dark, too brooding, too organic, too acoustic – too something," Jessie recalls. The track finally came together one morning before heading to the studio to record. "I literally woke up with this beat in my head and knew that was it! I made a quick voice memo, we made that beat from scratch in the studio, and the song finally came together."

Wild Honey is a project years in the making, with many of the songs tracing their roots back to early Garage Band vocals and beats. Two years into this EP's recording process, Jessie felt unsettled with the direction of the songs. She reached out to producer/artist Jeremy Larson (Violents) to help track strings. Jeremy had an immediate impact on the tracks, so Jessie enlisted him to co-produce, mix, and master Wild Honey. She also turned to her husband Aaron Early (Apache Relay) to play drums on the EP.

Although Wild Honey is her solo debut, Jessie has seen considerable success in the Nashville music scene writing for sync placements for well-known brands and programs including Tiffany & Co, Delta Faucets, and ABC Family's Switched At Birth.
