22-year-old singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Maggie Rogers has just unveiled her new single called "On + Off", an exhilarating and exquisitely layered song which was written and co-produced by Maggie herself alongside Nick Das and Doug Schadt. "On + Off" also serves as another taste of her highly-anticipated debut EP, Now That The Light Is Fading, due out on February 17th via Capitol Records. The four-song EP will also features Maggie's previously released singles, "Alaska" and "Dog Years," both of which have amassed more than 27 million streams worldwide.
Speaking on the track, Maggie says:
"It's a song you can dance to and a song you can get down to, but for me there's a lot of heart and soul in it, too. There's a sort of sexual cliché in the song. There's a lyric that says 'You turn me on' but if you listen to the rest of the lyrics, that is actually about emotional stability. Being on and off and finding a person that grounds you. Because I think that's one of the things that's most important to me in relationships."
