REYKO - Hierba Mala

London-based electro-pop duo REYKO have today unveiled their new single and video for "Hierba Mala", the follow-up to their delicate, atmospheric track "Lose Myself". "Hierba Mala" is a brooding, downtempo, dance track, keeping in style with their unique musical palette. Translating in Spanish as "bad weed", the track refers to a toxic person that is very hard to get rid of - in their words 'bad weed never dies' or 'hierba mala nunca muere'. Complimented with a video, directed by James Ayling, we see the pair wandering through the city streets, capturing the same melancholy present in the track.

Before its release, "Hierba Mala" was synched to popular Netflix Mexican series 'The House of Flowers'. Already with over 3,700 Shazams, fans have been in long anticipation for months over the song's official release.

Consisting of vocalist Soleil and producer Igor, the two artists started making music together as the final project for Igor's master’s degree in music production. Soleil and Igor have maintained their DIY approach to music ever since - writing, producing and recording everything from their home studio, mixing styles from electro, minimal, indie, dance and trap and balancing it with pop hooks and melodies. Spending the large part of last year touring - culminating in a nomination for Best New Spanish Artist at the LOS40 Awards - REYKO continue to raise the bar with every release, creating on their own terms and turning heads of many in the process.
