Manou - We Are

17-year-old half German, half English singer/songwriter Sophia Manou, better known mononymously as Manou has just unveiled the music video for her new single "We Are", directed by Jonathan Entwistle. The single was produced by longtime collaborator P*Nut, who also produced her previous two singles "Sadie" and "Loving You" (released back in in April on Duly Noted Records and available on iTunes) and whose long list of credits also includes Amy Winehouse, Eliza Doolittle, Sparks, Foxes and Dido as well as many, many others. "We Are" will appear on Manou's forthcoming debut album due out later this year.

In regards to her new single and the inspiration behind it, Manou says.

"We Are is a hymn to individuality. This song is about being an individual and being proud of it. I want people to love themselves for what they are, come as they are and not feel anyone has to conform to any ideas of a mass. Being in school while recording and filming this video, it is like my ode to everyone at college who should feel pressure of growing up and with standing your own grounds."
