London-based singer/songwriter and producer Shura has just shared her highly infectious and '80s-inspired dance-pop gem called "What’s It Gonna Be?", which first aired as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record and arrives ahead of her (very) much-anticipated debut album, Nothing's Real, due for release on July 8th via Polydor Records.
Co-produced with Greg Kurstin in L.A., "What's It Gonna Be?" is a euphoric mix of motoring, Bruce-Springsteen-inspired rock and affecting R&B vocals, From its "Do I tell you I love you, or not?" opening, "What’s It Gonna Be?" describes an attraction to someone who’s unavailable, and the crushing reality of a relationship which failed but never actually started.
"It's the first piece of truly new music in a while," Shura told Annie Mac. "The record is about fancying someone and maybe having a kind of connection and realizing that it’s probably not going to happen."
