Following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album, Soft Control released last year on on Outsiders/Polydor Records in the UK and Island Records in the US as well as her song "Undiscovered" being featured on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, Staffordshire-raised, London-based singer/songwriter Laura Welsh makes a welcome return today with the unveiling her new single called "Red", which also serves as the first track to be lifted from her upcoming four-track EP, See Red, which is due out on November 11th via her own imprint TwentyTwoSeven Recordings / Republic of Music. Pulsating and emotive, "Red" finds Welsh on her finest form to date. Co-written with Fiona Bevan (Ed Sheeran), Jonas Wallin (Avicci) and Richard Frenneaux and produced by longtime collaborator Frenneaux, the See Red EP further demonstrates the Laura's undeniable vocal talents.
Speaking on the track, Laura explains:
"'Red' is a song about taking responsibility for fucking up. To admitting you are holding back and playing it stubborn... For being human."
