The Magnettes - So Bad

Swedish trio The Magnettes, comprised of Rebecka Digervall, Sanna Kalla and Tomas Bäcklund Thuneström, who describes their sound as 21st Century Fuck-Pop and who think ugly and weird is cool and that the patriarchy needs to be crushed, have today unleashed their new single called "So Bad", which also serves as the sixth single following "Young and Wild", "Sad Girls Club", "Bones", "Killers In A Ghost Town" and "Hollywood" to be lifted from their forthcoming debut album, Ugly Youth, due out on June 30th. The album was mixed by Christian Cummings, who has previously worked with the likes of Tiësto, Icona Pop, and Florence + The Machine, just to name a few.

"We always felt this track had an early Britney Spears-vibe. The 'headmistress voice' was added during recording to give it a commentary about people’s fucked up double standards," the band says "We wrote this one really fast, basically in less than an hour, and in some ways it’s a pretty straight-forward song about sneaking out and getting into trouble, but also about how you have to make some people disappointed just to find out who you really are. "They’re going to stick lots of labels to you for doing that, but you need to go, so you go."
