Grimes (feat. Blood Diamonds) - Go

Canadian singer/songwriter and producer Claire Boucher, better known by her stage name Grimes has just unveiled music video for her stimulating new single "Go" featuring her longtime friend and fellow producer Mike Diamond, aka Blood Diamonds. The video was co-directed Claire herself along with her brother Mac Boucher under the collaborative director duo alias Roco-Prime, and features voice acting by David Hayte, who is best known as the voice of Solid Snake in the English versions of the Metal Gear Solid franchise and writing the screenplays for X-Men (2000), X-Men 2 (2003), and Watchmen (2009).

In regards to the video Grimes says, "the video is a sci-fi homage to Dante's inferno. In the inferno, people's actions in life echo eternally. Mike (Virgil) and I (Dante) wander through the circles of hell. It's not a traditional hell, it kind of reflects stuff thats going on today. We shot a bunch at the salton sea which is basically an apocalyptic wasteland filled with dead fish because of human carelessness, a hallway of bullet holes a la korn freak on a leash etc. If you look closely you can find clues, (Haha) but in the usual fashion it is also abstract enough to just be a trippy visual accompaniment to the song."

"Go" is available now on iTunes.
